Our goal is to have an incident free workplace.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The primary function of the Health and Safety program is the prevention of incidents and\/or injury to any of the employees.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is essential that all managers, supervisors, employees and contractors comply with the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations and Code; as well as all other applicable legislation that may apply. All employees and contractors are also to comply with company and customer safety requirements.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some of our safety related accomplishments include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Achieved a TRIF of zero through 2020-Present-Continuous Improvement<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maintaining our C.O.R. since the COR program began in Alberta in 1999<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Successful participation in the Partnership in Injury Reduction (P.I.R.) program<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Membership in the Alberta Safety Construction Association<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Achieving yearly audit scores of 87% or better on a consistent basis<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kodiak has a full time HSE Manager and a full time HSE Advisor on staff to ensure that the safety program is practical, manageable and the main focus of our Safety Culture.\u00a0 We strongly believe that there is always room for improvement.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Implementing VSL, or Visual Safety Leadership, both in our facilities as well as in the field. We achieve this through our Health and Safety Committee members, and management site visits.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To ensure the continued growth and success of our program, the key components include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Annual Review of our program including both management and employee participation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Incident &amp; Near Miss Investigation to learn from past experiences and take steps to prevent future recurrence<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Conducting both formal and informal safety inspections to ensure we are living up to our own standards. We also ensure all employees have the proper class of license before they operate any of our vehicles. We are members of Avetta, ComplyWorks &amp; ISNetworld and all of our customers are always welcome to review or audit our program any time they wish.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Legislative updates also mandate that employers ensure that workers are fit tested for Hearing Protective devices, and Kodiak has recently implemented a program to ensure we are compliant with this requirement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Competency programs over and above our day to day on the job training includes:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Skid Steer Competency<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Personal Monitor Care and Use<\/li>\n<li>Fall Protection<\/li>\n<li>Hand and Power Tool Safety<\/li>\n<li>Load Securement<\/li>\n<li>Spotter Safety<\/li>\n<li>Mental Health Awareness<\/li>\n<li>Aboriginal Awareness<\/li>\n<li>Annual Orientation<\/li>\n<li>Hours of Service<\/li>\n<li>PPE<\/li>\n<li>Hazard Identification ad Risk Assessment<\/li>\n<li>Hearing Protection, Foam Ear Plug insertion training<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additional or specialized training in Confined Space Entry and Rescue, Ground Disturbance and Aerial Work Platform is also supplied to our workforce as needed per client requirements<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row custom_padding_last_edited=&#8221;on|tablet&#8221;
