About Us
Since 1994 Grimshaw Gravel Sales has been providing the Peace Region with pit run gravel, various sizes of crushed gravel, washed rock, sand and other specialty rock products.
GGS started and operated solely out of an existing gravel pit north of Grimshaw and was operated strictly as an owner operator by Ray Condrotte.
In 1999 Grimshaw Gravel Sales expanded with the purchase of the Weberville Pit located North West of Peace River and in 2001 the acquisition of the Mcdonald pit located North of Brownvale.
In 2005 Grimshaw Gravel Sales closed and reclaimed the original pit South of Highway 2 and opened a new pit North of Highway 2. In 2015 Rays son Brody joined the business as a partner in the 2nd generation business. In 2016 Grimshaw Gravel Sales purchased another pit in the Sunny Valley area and in 2017 one in the Sulphur Lake area.
GGS began crushing in 2007 and have completed numerous municipal crushing contracts in Northern Alberta.
Grimshaw Gravel Sales now supplies all services in the gravel industry including all types of gravel materials as well as custom crushing and delivery of products.
GGS currently employs 30 full time employees and 10 additional seasonal employees.
All pits are currently operating under the approval of the environment and enhancement act. GGS is also one of the few gravel operations that operate a progressive reclamation program on an ongoing basis throughout the summer.
